Maureen Sylvia, water-colour artist and owner of Monet Gallery of Fine Arts in South Guildford Western Australia, extends to you a warm welcome to come and browse. Housed in a lovely Mediterranean building, Monet has quite a unique charm; a special place where you will discover and enjoy a wide range of beautiful paintings by many of WA’s talented artists. No need for expert knowledge. Family friendly too. You will find it an inviting environment to meet and to talk art while you look. If you are wanting to buy a painting there is a large range to choose from. Our aim is to showcase beautiful, affordable originals for your home and office, or perhaps your private collection. It is also to highlight the wonderfully diverse talents of West Australia's artists from both city and country. Monet Gallery of Fine Arts is well-known as a popular place for professional and emerging artists to exchange ideas. What makes Monet Art Gallery in Perth different? The varied and talented art of more than 40 well-known West Australian artists is on display continually with up-dates all the time. So if you are looking for a lovely piece of work at a price you can afford come and view the diverse range of paintings in a variety of mediums and techniques on display at Monet Gallery. Our aim is to reflect the gallery’s purpose of bringing to the viewer beautiful imagery and positive messages. Many paintings depict aspects of our natural environment and life-style here in ‘The West,’ while others are more impressionist, semi-abstract or abstract in form. All artworks are by artists who delight to put something of themselves in their paintings and have developed their own unique style. MONET GALLERY IS OPEN every Thursday, Friday, Saturday 12 – 5 pm. Now closed on Sundays except for special events such as poetry readings, artists painting, solo exhibitions or special functions. The main gallery with back terrace can now be hired for informal weddings, retirement functions etc some Sundays.
The gallery does have solo or special exhibitions at times, but does not run on back to back solos common to many galleries as Monet has a continuous exhibition of high-quality artworks whenever you visit 85 Great Eastern Highway, South Guildford, WA.
